Many individuals have some kind of addiction, whether substance (drugs and alcohol) or some form of unwanted habit or behavior. Their loved ones are equally affected, making them CO-DEPENDENTS. They are, albeit painfully drawn into the difficult position of make appropriate yet crucial decisions for all concerned.
Roads and Bridges is aware that it takes a special kind of courage to seek answers and resolutions that will ultimately lead to change. It is this COURAGE that makes the families of our clients SURVIVORS and NOT VICTIMS of the addiction and behavioral problems.
At Roads and Bridges, clients are made to feel that the courage they manifest to take on the challenge is appreciated. The fear, which accompanies the decision to seek recovery, is acknowledged. This is because MANY OF THE STAFF OF RBR HAS BEEN WHERE OUR CLIENTS ARE IN. With experience and specialized training, the clients realize that RECOVERY IS POSSIBLE. They are guided in a journey that will bring them back what they value most in life.
The program employs a dynamic variety of treatment modalities without compromising the integrity of the Therapeutic Community, which constitutes the backbone of the rehabilitation program. This includes the integration of behavioral and cognitive approaches, creative and experiential seminars, 12-step meetings, and family systems approaches.
RBR made sure that the programs are individualized to match the severity of the dependence or behavioral problems, motivational level, co-morbid psychiatric problems, and family issues. Each client is assigned their personal case manager that takes care of all their concerns. At certain points throughout the clients’ stay, they are given the opportunity to consult with their personal therapist and other members of the treatment team who will provide important input and feedback.
